Lesha Berezovskiy

Lesha Berezovskiy (b. 1991) is a Ukrainian self-taught photographer and cyclist enthusiast based in Kyiv. His pictures are simple and stand for themselves. The reality of Berezovskiy's images is tangible and vivid. With a semidocumentary approach in his practice, the artist tries to show small things without unnecessary extra meanings. He explores unkempt nature and the role of human artefacts in it. His natural shyness keeps him estranged from the scene, so even portraits of young people don’t look posed. He had worked with magazines like i-D magazine, ZEITmagazine, Monocle, M Le Monde, Dazed, and The Calvert Journal. Also known for documenting rave culture in Ukraine. Now he is balancing between commercial and personal projects.
