Polina Polikarpova (b. 1992) is an independent photographer, born in Kharkiv, based in Kyiv. Graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, majoring in art history (bachelor). She works with art photography, mostly exploring her own past as a millennial, her generation and the environment in which it exists. She does so with the help of a kind of ironic optics, at the intersection of nostalgia, domestic surrealism, and local context. Recently, Polina has been exploring and documenting multifarious urban landscapes, full of wildness and unkemptness of nature.
